Topic:  Is Your Business Prepared For The Minimum Wage Increase?

The federal minimum wage in two of Canada’s largest provinces will go up to $15.00 per hour. In Ontario, on October 1, 2017 the minimum wage will increase to $11.60 per hour. (The government has introduced legislation to raise the minimum wage to $14/hour on January 1, 2018 and to $15/hour on January 1, 2019.  In the province of Alberta, the minimum wage will rise to $13.60 per hour on October 1, 2017, and to $15 per hour on October 1, 2018. And while the remaining provinces will all be increasing their minimum wages none of them go as high as $15.00 per hour, not yet anyway.
